For the past week I haven't been able to keep anything down. Not even water and saltines. The throwing up comes along with sharp belly pains. I have been to the hospital twice... and they tell me I am fine and that basically there is no reason for my pain. I am not making this up... I am very sick!!! Is there any suggestions about what I can do to help alleviate this problem??? Any thing special that I can eat, drink, or take? Serious responses only please. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

None of the traditional remedies helped me. I always laughed when people suggested saltines, ginger or peppermint tea. With severe morning sickness, these remedies did NOTHING for me.

What DID work for me was a combination of Unisom (doxylamine succinate) & Vitamin B6. Ask your MD what dosage is right for you. Traditionally, you take 1 whole Unisom (25mg) with 25 mg B6 at bedtime, 1/2 Unisom (12.5mg) and 1/2 B6 first thing in the morning and in early afternoon (for a total of 50 mg Unisom and 50 mg B6 per day). Again, ask your MD what the right dosage is for you. This is available over-the-counter and is relatively inexpensive.

This combination made me groggy the first few days, but took enough of the edge off that I stayed out of the hospital this pregnancy. I understand those sharp belly pains. I had them too. They are much different than round ligament pains and very distressing! Know that women with bad morning sickness statistically have better pregnancy outcomes. You WILL get though it!

Good luck!

This is the oh so a laugh being pregnant symptom of bloating. I didn't seem pregnant for close to six months... however permit me let you know, my pants stopped becoming at six weeks (first little one). The little one had little or no to do with it, it used to be all water retention and fuel. Second pregnancies exhibit prior than first ones, so do not be worried, but when you're having the bloating main issue, take a seem at what you're consuming or ingesting. You is also in a position to get backpedal a dimension. well good fortune!

Peppermint is a natural remedy for upset stomachs. It has been used in herbal form for centuries. You can get the same benefits from peppermint candies. Keep them handy, and keep one in your mouth when you feel sick. It will help, I promise.

And, the nausea will probably abate after a while. Most pregnant moms begin to feel better after the first trimester is over.

Best of luck to you. Hope I've helped.

Welcome to pregnancy, lol. As far as the vomiting, just try to drink any fliuds. I had lots of luck keeping milk down. And tea with mint. And the belly pain is probably your round ligament streching out, it is normal. I felt like my insides were tearing apart the first trimester. Good luck and congradulations on your pregnancy!

americans and drugs... tsk tsk..

anyway.
Ginger Ale, or anything ginger really has been known to alleviate morning sickness.

@Dani
if they didn't work, did you try maybe looking around the house?
its common that certain smells cause morning sickness due to the increase in the sense of smell of a pregnant woman.

as i said.
americans and drugs... tsk tsk.
