It now looks like the Yankees are once again - ready to dominate all of baseball. Boston will just have to wait some 80 some years again.

Hey I'm a big Yankees fan here, but I'm also realistic. We've had A-Rod for several seasons and haven't won. I'm not hating on him, he's helped tremendously, but let's try to think outside the box...

What else is wrong with the team that has prevented the Yankees from winning it all since 2000? Pitching. I'm more excited to see the up and coming pitchers the Yankees have in the system.

Yet in some ways this goes hand in hand. If they were unable to bring A-Rod back they would have probably been forced to move some of those pitchers for position players. Bringing him back is huge, but let's take everything else into consideration. Right now the Red Sox are the World Champions (Trust me I hate it) and we as Yankees fans have our pride, but let's try to be mature about it.

A true asset to any team, A-Rod will continue to keep the Yankees a number 1 team. Boston? they have a team there? IN the last 85 years how many World Series have Boston won? And the Yankees? Call the Yankees the biggest payroll in baseball, you do get what you pay for.

They had A Rod this year and lost. What makes you think they are going to dominate this season? They are worse. Clemens(gone) Petit(all but gone) Musinia(over the hill)n Rivera(too much money for a guy who is not a sure thing anymore). All I see is a more expensive team that isn't as good.

Red Sox on the other hand (Beckett, Matzuzaka, Schilling, Buckholz, Lester, Papelbon, Okijama, Ellsbury, Pedroia, Lowell, Youkillus. Come on, it's no contest who is waiting 80 years. The way I see it, the Yankees are last century's news. The Sox are the future.

A-Rod with the Yankees is the way it should be and both A-Rod and the team will benefit in the years to come.

I do. Nomatter how it all went down, The Yankees eventaully come out smelling like a rose. ARod was foolish to think he would have any takers, especially at 350million!!! Noq he will go down in baseball history as possibly the greatest Yankee NEVER to win a championship..... but I'm hoping he proves me wrong!!!!!

I am not a fan of the Yanks or Arod, but in the current days of free agency, it is always kinda refreshing to see a guy stick with a club for a while. Although it is his 3rd team, hopefully he has a home now until he retires as the NEW homerun champ.

Well I think its great but we still haven't addressed what our team needs the most and that's pitching. Pitching wins championships. Let me repeat myself, PITCHING WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
if the home team signs Johan Santana then the new year will indeed be a time to celebrate our 27th championship.

As a Yankees fan, I hate we got A Rod back. He did nothing the last 4 years, and he will do nothing the next 10 years.
