Guiliani shone on 9/11 only because the President was such an absolute failure.
It's disgusting that he has benefited monetarily from the tragic events of that day. His business dealings are shady and so are his close business associates.
I voted for him as mayor but he wouldn't have won re-election prior to 9/11 (if allowed to run again). In the general election he won't even win his home state of NY. The guy is a hypocrite and a bully, even his family can't stand him.

I really do believe he will become a non-factor real soon. This past month he told the middle class to "f-off" and tried to pander to the relegious right. Thompson is more or less correct; Guliani thinks he can run the country on the same platform he ran NYC. However, the rest of the country does not think like NYC.

If he does get elected it will because it was stolen for him so that he can keep the war going. I have seen films where New Yorkers talk of their hate for him. I have had enough of Republicans! They talk about being the party of Christian & Family values and they are comming out of the closet right and left. WE need some one who is real, and not a phoney!

Yeah, that Dinkins was a real law & order Mayor. NYC was a joke under his "leadership".
Rudy was a great Mayor BEFORE 911. He cleaned up the city, made it a nice place to live and work. Property values skyrocketed. NYC was considered ungovernable until he took over. He is very aggressive and demands action and accountability from those who work for him, unlike Bush I'm sorry to say.
He will be an amazing President. He won't take a poll before making decisions, unlike Hillary.

I disagree. All the candidates pretty much have issues but I believe Guiliani is more decisive and can get things done.
not decisive enoughcouldn't get things done. Remember the Crown Heights riots? The The Korean grocert store boycots. Not good under his watch and he was voted out.
Please note getting things done usually means making some group/someoneupste. Do you want to be nice to everybody or get things done?
Essentially, what type of leadership will be the key issue in the upcoming election.

Don't worry about Giuliani. He doesn't have a chance in hell.
The evangelicals won't vote for him for the reasons you mentioned. His own kids don't even support him. If you ask New Yorkers, the vast majority of them will tell you he did good things for the city. And in the next breath, they'll tell you he went way too far and they came to dislike him. On top of all that, there are many NYC firefighters who are specifically campaigning against him - and the NYFD is not a group you want going against you, as they are one of the most respected groups of people in the entire country.
Like I said, he doesn't have a chance in hell.

They have short memories. He has fooled them by talking only about 9-11. Actually the firefighters in NY hate him because he didn't allow them to recover the bodies of their dead.

Does glass houses and stones ring a bell for anyone? It's politics and all's fair in this big game we have every 4 years in America.
