Who are the most oppresed ppl? If you look careful will find out that it is the Moslims. In this case when a moslim defends himself, he is termed a terrorist. Which nations terorises other nations community other than the Americans and Europeans. You go every where where there is a conflict you will definately find Americans are there the Europeans are there and funny enough in the Area of conflict you will find out there is Oil reserves, Minerals, Uranium etc. From here you make your own assumptions and your own conclusions.

I don't hate any group of people. I do dislike, even abhor the actions of some individuals however.

The tone of your question worries me as I feel that you feel under attack. I can understand this but remember there are two sides to each coin and others can also feel intimidated.

Please respect the country that you have chosen to live in and then most people will, in turn, respect you.

We are all members of the human race and should try to respect each other at all times - yes it can be difficult as we all have minorities who spoil the reputations of the rest.

I wish you well for the rest of your life and hope that you will try to be more positive and not bitter.

Haha don’t you think that's funny? I'm a Muslim myself and I just can’t help laughing. And to answer your question, let's be real.

Media is a good source to brainwash a person, and I'm sorry but I happened to believe the conspiracy about Zionists controlling the media. It really makes sense if you think about it.

But the real answer to your question is - ignorance. Here let me tell you a story. When I tell people I am a Muslim they immediately assume I'm Middle Eastern. Pathetic really, I have no Middle Eastern blood whatsoever. This just shows people are ignorant; they fail to realize that Islam is a belief not a race. Seriously I am a proud Latino and a proud Muslim. I really don’t care what other people think of me.
I have been prejudiced my entire life; for being brown and a Muslim. Every time I go to school with my backpack and my friends will joke around and say "O sht Hussein is carrying a bomb". They have a good laugh and so do I. Funny thing, my last name is literally "Hussein". Can you imagine how many times I have been asked if I'm related to Saddam Hussein? Haha even my driving instructor once asked the same question. I was filling out the form to register for behind-the-wheel and he became utterly astonished when he saw my name. He said, “Your last name is Hussein? I thought you were a Mexican for a second". I laughed hard, almost cried, he thought I was laughing with him, but honestly I was laughing at him, at his ignorance. Funny how Latinos must be Mexicans and Muslims must be Arabs?

You can’t avoid stereotype, it's all around the word, so learn to laugh when you hear them. You will eventually find the humor of it.

PS: Surprisingly, my driving instructor is an azn! He taught me how to drive =]

PSS: Look at the guy above me, he's pretty firm where he got that number and what he said about the Koran. Boy I read few answers and they were just as firm as his. Funny isnt it?

Religions have always been at war with each. In Biblical times there was constant war.

Yahweh insisted that the Jews go to war with their neighbors because they had different beliefs...That war continues to this day in Israel. Christians have fought each other for 100s of years too.

Due to US foreign policy and Israeli persecution of Palestinians some Moslems have committed acts of terrorism.

The Jews also used terrorism against the British in Palestine and blew up the King David Hotel killing over 90 innocent people. The brains behind that went on to become Prime Minister Menechem Begin. Yitzak Rabin was leader of the terrorist Stern Gang..Then Ariel Sharon...allowed the murder of 1000s of Palestinians in a Lebanese refugee camp.

In 1948 Israel ethnicaly cleansed Palestine of Arabs to make way for new Jewish setttlers..Or Genocide is more correct and that continues today.

It does not surprise me that some Moslems have overreacted to oppression and given people many in the west the wrong idea about Moslems. Every Moslem I have Know has been great.

Half my family is Jewish.

I think you need to study History a little better. It was the middle east along with most of Europe and Africa that were overrun in WW2. The US and the English were the main forces that freed the Muslim nations plus Northern and Central Europe. In the 50's the UN fought a war in Korea, which is not a Muslim area. In the 60's the US was in Vietnam, a Buddhist and Catholic country. The rest of the world hates you because you send women and children to blow themselves up. They hate you because you take prisoners of war and slit their throats, chop their heads off or burn them to death while demanding your comrades be treated humanly. Take a look around you, look at the people that you feel are good Muslims. Then see what pieces of garbage they really are.

I assume you are a Muslim because you have a very negative view of Europeans and Americans.
Lets discuss Vulnerable and oppressed people.
In actual fact the most vunerable and oppressed aren't a single race or country it's women and children the world over.
If you want abused countries, it's where the few in power at the top hold sway over the masses by terror and torture. I name one country Iraq.. before you lambast me and tell me it was all lies and vicious rumours. I warked with an Iraqy girl who was a wonderful soul whose family had been tortured and killed by the man at the top... and she had the pictures to prove it. I don't think that America and Europe was the best solution, but no other surrounding nation helped those families... perhaps it was a little to close for comfort.
You state Muslims defending themselves
At 9/11 I saw no one in danger, no muslim fighting for his life.
Indeed the only people fighting to survive were those trying to escape the infernos and collapsing buildings...oh yes there were muslims there as well, trying to escape.
Ok lets look at countries in conflict Uganda,, that was the Tootsies and Hutus, Zimbabwe...civil war. (ok so the guy at the top was British educated and trained..i'll give you that)
You'll find that most wars are started by people in power..who desperately want to stay in power.. so the war is used to annex another country or to distract the people at home from unrest by creating another enemy worse than the one at home.
I'll give you an example close to home
The Falklands
argued over by Argentina and the UK
In the eighties the military controlling Argentina where having major problems at home
a) the UN had publicly shamed them for their treatment of political prisoners
b) an Argentine mother had broken silence about thousands of missing people
c) Argentina was a hot bed of unrest
(if you don't believe me talk to the Argentinians who were living there at that time.. a Life of hell)
SOLUTION
WAR lets go and reclaim the Falkland Islands
It created public support against the terrible English
So off to war they went.
Maybe they didn't think that England would be bothered after all it's half way across the world and has NO valuable resources. The only think that forbidding Island has is colony's of penguins and seals.
But we bothered and off to war we went
only to discover that the soldiers they sent were young 16 yr olds conscripted at the point of a gun, no decent clothing nothing
So before you pass judgement on me as a European, here is something for you to think about
PLEASE NOTE ALL THE COUNTRIES IN CONFLICT ARE RULED BY................MEN
Gives you something to think about

"Why do people hate Muslims?"

Well, they are the cause of 23 out of 27 wars going on in the world today and they have murdered thousands world wide and um, let us NEVER forget 9-11-01.

Oh and you're lumping all Muslims into one question and that's just plain BS. The Koran tells all Muslims to convert everyone that isn't a Muslim and if you don't do this, you're going against your own religion. It also says if they won't convert then kill them where they stand. I see that as a hostile threat on my life and I will defend myself to the best of my ability and believe me I can. There again, if you don't kill them, you are going against your religion once again.

Which "people" are you referring to?

Could it be their theocracy is what's leading to their oppression? Most of the time, it's their own leaders oppressing them. Women are treated like slaves and propaganda tools in those regions. Their warlike conquests of expansion continues to grow while millions are displaced and murdered in Africa as we speak.

They own all this land and yet want to drive Israel into the sea.
Blind hatred for others will bring nothing but suffering.

In order to gain respect, a people must show respect.

Again it's actions in which nations are judged.

You can not justify the terrorist attacks of "Moslim" extremists by saying that they are defending themselves. Little you say is true. All conflicts in the world right now involve terrorists and the US is not involved in all of them.

I don't hate anyone. What muslims are is what the problem is. They are vile, sick and disgusting creatures. The muslims religion is false and they worship a false god.
Can you explain to us what "man love Thursday" is in the muslim world? It's really sick and disgusting. The more I learn about the muslim way of life the the more sickened I became. I'm just not at all impressed with you muslims.

We don't hate Muslims. We hate Muslims who pervert their religion and use it as an excuse to commit vile and heinous crimes against humanity, in the name of Islam. The oppression, as you call it, is the fault of those wishing to continue to live in 7th century AD and not te fault of those that have learned to deal with the fact that this is the 21st century. If you truly, "knew what was going on" , you would extricate your head from the sand and modernize your society.
