Do not prick it or try to open it with a razor blade! Put hot compresses on it and eventually the boil will open.
Be sure to take the antibiotics as prescribed. You are doing more harm than good if you don't leave it alone.

Tylenol is actually better for dogs but very toxic (fatal) to cats, so they've said for a long time only give Asprin so people wouldn't get confused. Asprin is not toxic to either, just a little harder for a dogs system to process. At 10 months he shouldn't be losing teeth! Puppies have MILK TEETH and go through a teething chew anything phase....that's when they are nippy at people etc. At 10 months he has something wrong, you can wait until Monday as it isn't an urgent emergency but be careful, keep an eye on it, try feeding softer foods boiled hamburger & rice is a good choice as it's easier on his tummy that a sudden food switch. Many dogs break their teeth playing, tug of war type games are common, as is the lift the pitbull by his teeth show off. They can also get into something not so pleasant.....I remember a shepherd I had many years ago ate something so foul all the humans held their heads out of the car windows! That bacteria can get in around his tooth & infect it.Or he could have simply bitten down too hard on a toy. Do be careful with the tylenol, he's an itty bitty and I'd wait 24 hours or longer before giving him more....but keep an eye on that tooth! If his pain increases or you see swelling or an abscess right there...I go to the ER just to be safe.

hot pack it.. and keep hot packing it till you see pus at the top. Then use a clipper that you wipe with alcohol to open it. If you use a pin, put he thru a small amount of skin and out the other side so you can pull it open in more than just a single pinhole, which could seal and prevent the puss from coming out.
If you get puss to the top, you can gently press from sides once you make a hole to let it out. Do NOT use a razor blade as that is WAY TOO DANGEROUS. I've done this for years, and you can spread the infection if you don't hot pack it enough to bring it to a head. You just have to keep hot packing it and be patient.
If you get it good, it may come bursting out like a projectile.
KEEP TAKING the antibiotics till they are all finished.

Not sure why ever one is telling you to use only heat! First use heat then use something cool and repeat. Heat relaxes your blood vessels and something cool causes them to constrict. This in turn causes you skin to relax and constrict which acts like a pump. This relaxing and constricting of the skin will cause the pus to the surface quicker that just heat.
Try a hot towel for 5 minutes, then put some aloe vera gel on it and wait 10 minutes. Aloe has a natural cooling effect which tightens your skin. Repeat this process.
Aloe is also great for lessening wrinkles because of it's natural tightening of your skin through constricting blood vessels.
If you cut it with a razor or prick it with a pin, you will get a scare due to the skin already being stretch by the boil.

The antibiotics will help even though it seems to get worse. Picking at it or attempting to cut it yourself could result not only in you injuring your eye (causing permanent damage) but could also leave an ugly scar, which will be a lifetime remembrance of your boil.
Let it run its course and I know this might not be what you want to hear, but it is really the best advice - plus keep taking your antibiotics.

Put a washcloth with the hottest water you can stand on it for a while. It should help it come out. Don't keep touching it, and definitely DO NOT cut it with a razor blade. Not only is that dangerous, it will most likely scar. Touching it is going to make it worse because of all the bacteria on your hands we all have.

The hot compresses wil make it come to a head asit gets to this point it will get worse before it gets better. Continue with heat and antibiotics if it is not better by monday call the dr.
With the outbreak of MRSA you don't want to be picking at it with anything. And you need to keep taking meds to the end. Like I said go back to the dr on monday MRSA is resistant to certain antibiotics so you may need a different one containing sulfa.

Oh Honey, Is it a sty? Don't prick it if there's blood sweetie, because it might get worse. Go to the ER if you have to. I'm sure it's nothing. You might want to go to a dermotologist. I'm sure you'll be okay, sweetie. You shouldn't cut it at all with anything. What I would do right now is take a shower, brush your teeth, wash your face (careful around the eye), put on some comfy clothes, and go to a hospital ER if it hurts that bad. Or, do something outside like get some fresh air. Good luck, honey. You'll be just fine.
