The real reason why coffee and tea are such big morning favorites is not because of their taste (although over the years we've convinced ourselves this is the reason) but because of their 'pick-me-up' stimulate, that little buzz, that caffeine provides. The caffeine in soda also provides the same stimulant and many actually will drink soda in place of coffee.
That being said, I prefer coffee. And by coffee I mean 'real' coffee and not that foo-foo designer chocolate or vanilla flavored candy tasting over-priced crapola disguised as coffee they sell at the fashionable chain stores. I mean real coffee.
Tea I also love but prefer it cold and as an afternoon or evening drink. The same with soda.

Cappuccino. And I mean at the bar down the street from my house, maybe with a croissant or a doughnut.
I can drink coffee or tea whenever I want during the day or night as I sit at my desk and work.
