I know a teenager who can write stories, essays, poems, REALLY WELL! I would like to know how he could get his stories and poems out there into the public's eye since he is only a teen. Thanks!

Thank you for asking for your friend, but please be aware that being able to write well does not guarantee fame.

The biggest choice all writers face is whether or not to write what sells, or write what the author wishes to write. Sometimes the two options are the same, but most often they are not.

The Harry Potter series is an example of material that the author wished to write doing well, but there is plenty of material that has been extremely well written that is never accepted for publication. The main problem is to find an audience that wants to read your work and not to feel dejected when rejection letters arrive.

An excellent source of editors looking for fiction and poetry from new and established writers is the classified section of Poets and Writers Magazine at www.pw.org. The magazine can be read for free at their site, and it is an excellent source of practical information for new and established writers. I recommend reading each classified carefully to see what they are after, and only submit if you have something that matches what they are looking for. I've also always had a higher acceptance rate from editors looking for specific topics, versus simply "send your best."

Best of luck to your friend.

good, i am 14 years historic, and that i desire to be an athor for inspiartional and motivational books. I beleive that it's truthfully feasible to come to be popular, it isn't handy, many younger youngsters have this dream. You must particularly recognise what you're doing, or no less than paintings with someone who knew what they have been doing. The factor approximately a writer, is they're going to particularly query you to relly ensure that you just wrote it, and did not have aid writing it. But I beleive with the correct motivation, and trust, you'll be able to accomplish whatever...peace :)

Getting famous based on talent doesn't happen in America.

You get famous as a writer in America because of a bad habit like being a drug addict or staggering drunk or wife beater or homosexual or attempted suicide or you got serious publishing connections. But your talent alone will keep you anonymous.

Firstly, i envy him for the talent he has been gifted with. Ask him to write to mgazines and newletters to be published and as time goes by, he will definitely be recognized by the public. I wish him all the best.

he could always send them into a magazine or newspaper.

and you can find companies that for a low as $500 will pubish your book (i knoe that sounds expensive but its your book truely published and selling until a larger book company discovers and signs you) you can just search google for these. i've found a few good ones and once i'm finished with it will be publishing my own novel.

Try to submit them to magazines that are youth orientated. There will be rejections, but persist, eventually, if there is talent it will get published eventually.
