To those above, if serious (I hope not), I hope you are not driving in Southern California! I have seen people driving and reading the newspaper, putting on makeup, gabbing away on cell phones, you name it, I have seen it....it is scary! Stuff happens so fast on freeways that it takes full concentration from all to avoid accidents, and accidents at 75 mph are rarely fender benders! I have a hard time accepting that any driver of something as dangerous as an automobile would take driving so lightly as to do things that are basically dangerous, to the point of being fatal to not only yourself, but to so many others! None of us have the right to endanger other's lives. AND it has been proven that NONE of us mulitask very well.! Phil

Eat or drink and sadly occasionally smoke on an open freeway with no traffic. I put on lip stick at a stop sign, I figure that's safer. Basically I detest driving in traffic these days and so if I have to I have both hands on the wheel and good music to sing along too! Haven't had a ticket since 95 and that was for going 35 in a 25 zone. (No there were no children or schools near by)

Cell phones conversation doesn't count because everyone does that. I have been trying to strictly obey the speed limits. It drives people crazy, since the rest of the world speeds. I do find myself looking at stuff other than the road, a little too long. I always did eat and drink in the car, so that doesn't count either.

I'm beginning to hate weekends after looking at some of these answers. Looks like were taking our life in our hands by just being on the road. The only thing I do is speed but not intentionally. I go with the flow of traffic ,otherwise you get people in a hurry passing and weaving in and out of traffic which is more dangerous than going a bit over the limit.

So Daisy Mae eats french fries...how about that. I turn into Mr. Hyde if I'm in traffic too long. People are maniacs and will do anything out there. They think they're driving bumper cars.

I talk on my cell phone, to get directions when I am trying to find something or someone. Or if I am on the way to the hospital or back home from the hospital to let someone know what is going on.
Other wise if I get a call, I pull over and park to talk for a bit, then get off and continue driving.

Once or twice a year I will eat a fish sandwich from McDonalds. That is when I am going somewhere to play cards where I know there is no food and I don't get hungry until after I leave home. Then of course I am starving!

I smoke and drink sodas. Usually it's when waiting on traffic or stuck at a light. Otherwise I'm 2 handed white knuckling the steering wheel with my eyes glued to the road. Somebody has to watch the road. LOL

I drive at the posted speed limit and I don't care that I have a line of traffic that's wants me to go faster. I will not drive with the traffic flow. And in warmer weather its not to bad because I would occasionally give half of a peace symbol to those who would flick their high beams.

Oh Goldwing lighten up and smile. I'm sure some were just being funny. I was going to say that I paint my toenails but I won't do it outside of Texas. ( Grin) edit: I haven't had a
ticket since 1972. I am very cautious.
