Jupiter, Earth, Venus, Pluto

It was on an IQ test (that doesn't show the answers) and I'm curious as to whether I got the right or wrong answer

Please explain too!

I heard that about Pluto too (that's why I chose Pluto) and yeah haha I know IQ tests are BS but it only took 2 minutes so I thought why not
the Jupiter theories are interesting too
I don't know which answer to pick!

You need to complain to the people who wrote the test. I know the answer to this, and it has nothing to do with IQ. It has to do with specific knowledge of a designation made by the IAU a few years ago.

It is also bad because there is more than one equally valid candidate for elimination. IQ questions need to be better than this. Jupiter could be eliminated because it is the only gas giant. Pluto could be eliminated because it is no longer a planet. (I think this is the preferred answer, here, but that's just a guess.) Earth is the only one which has life. Venus is the only one known to have a retrograde rotation.

Bad question, altogether. I hope you can get a chance to make a comment, including the facts I have given you, and then say that none of it has to do with your IQ, anyway.

Just a correction: Pluto is still in our solar system. It's classified as a dwarf planet now, but that designation change didn't change its physical location in space. It's still in our solar system.

By the way, I loved the two Jupiter answers, the Earth answer, and the Venus answer. I automatically assumed Pluto, and it's refreshing to see that there are many ways of looking at the same thing.

Pluto is definitely the right answer because it is the only dwarf planet in that sequence. it is not an official planet because many other smaller planets have been discovered and if we count all of those then we would have 300 by the year 2010.

Either...

Pluto because it is not a planet.

Jupiter because it is a jovian planet (gas giant) instead of a terrestrial planet (rocky).

Jupiter because it has 7 letters instead of 5.

IQ is BS anyways.

Too easy! The answer is Jupiter. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars are all terrestrial planets meaning that they are masses of solid rock. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are jovial planets meaning they are planets consumed of gasses. They are merely large balls of gas. However, Neptune is the one odd ball even though it is solid like one of the terrestrial planets, but your correct answer is Jupiter.

I hope you chose this as your answer.

The answer is Jupiter I believe. All of the other planets are rocky planets small and dense. While Jupiter is a huge planet made up of gases.

I think it may be Pluto doesn't belong because scientists are saying that Pluto is no longer a planet and if you look, all the rest are planets. Hope I helped.

Pluto is not now in our solar system because it is said to be a dwarf planet.

Well, i'm guessing it's jupiter because all the others have 5 letters and jupiter has 7 (as you can see :P)...
