If anyone can help me, I'd love it! okay, the question is:


Research the status of BLACKS in the South during the 1930's. Find out about the Jim Crow laws, the seperate but Equal doctrine and other ways in which the rights that blacks "won" during the civil war were taken away.

Blacks had no status at all. They were basically economic surfs and did not have the right to vote nor share facilities with white people. The only difference between their status in the South and that of apartheid South Africa (which came later) was that blacks were recognised as being American "citizens" whereas in South Africa they were not.
