Do you think it's okay when people walk around or stand in line with their Bluetooth (or other brand) headset on, even though they are not on a call and don't have a realistic expectation of getting one in the near future?

Sometimes, I just want to say that, "Yes, I see your headset, you're just like a rock star!".

I just find it pretentious for the vast majority of people who do this. Whether you agree with me or not, please share your thoughts.

Thanks!

----I've asked these 'Acceptable Behavior' questions before, so I can anticipate someone saying it's not my business and people can decide for their own whether to wear the headset or not.
Well, duh! Of course, that's true......I'm just asking people's opinions, I'm not trying to change behavior!

I really dislike that. It's correct courtesy to talk on your cellphone privately if possible. If your phone rings while you're walking, stop and look for a place to take your call. Nobody needs to hear your conversation.

Those Bluetooth headsets are just fashion accessories for some. Function is out of the question.

I suppose they just find it simpler to be wearing them in case a call does come in, rather than digging a phone out to answer. Though I am sure some do it just to be "showy".
It doesn't really bother me at all though because I don't talk to them anyhow. Though I do sometimes wish I knew their headset phone number and when they are in line in front of me I'd call them and ask them to please speed it up.

Well, I think they look all like "Aliens" and find it disturbing to walk pass people who "seem to have monologues" while walking but hey, "to each it's own".

I'm sure you'll hit a nerve with this one, I can't stand those things, alot of the people who wear them have that look of " look at me, look at me !! , I'm special " . I find them to be very irratating.
