Giuliani's first marriage was to his second cousin, Regina Peruggi. They were married for 14 years, before Giuliani had their marriage annulled by the Catholic church. His second marriage was to Donna Hanover, a reporter and sometimes soap-opera actress. Havover was the city's First Lady while Giuliani was mayor, but she stayed farther and farther out of the public spotlight as Giuliani was widely whispered to be swiving his press secretary, Cristyne Lategano. After Lategano left City Hall, Giuliani took up with a divorced nurse, Judith Nathan, paying her $10,000 per month as his speechwriter. Never one for subtlety, Giuliani and Nathan marched side-by-side in the St. Patrick's Day parade, where the city's mayor traditionally walks with his wife.

No...for the most part most Americans...except for the super religious white christian moral majority (which aren't really Americans they are Puritans) don't give a crap about our politicians private lives.

We keep liars and murders (Bush and Dick) in office and don't move to impeach. We keep latent (or active) bathroom stall stalkers in Congress. We keep Congressman who sell themselves out to the highest bidder in office.

Giuliani...married to his second cousin? No big deal....just a ripple in the crap pool we call American politics.

No that is perfectly acceptable behavior in some parts of the country and i will not tell you where, but if you drive around the country and see some 2 headed babies you have found it.

I would have thought marrying a cousin was way down on the list of American Political crimes

I truly do not care if he married his cousin or not. It's not something I would choose to do, but it isn't my business. Politics should be based on the qualifications of a candidate, not their personal lives.

His first wife was a second cousin. Their common ancestor was their great grandparents. A little weird but not as bad as a first cousin.

Not nearly as bad as being married to Bill Clinton.

Additional Info:
From Genealogy.com the definition of a Second Cousin is:
Your second cousins are the people in your family who have the same great-grandparents as you., but not the same grandparents. http://www.genealogy.com/16_cousn.html

2nd cousin marriage is legal, but not 1st cousin...many have done it...sounds like he can't make up his mind or commit to anything and can't be counted on for good judgement though
