I saw a PICTURE this morning, while sitting at "my" laundromat, on the side of a jug of ERA liquid detergent. It's your basic, NO-FRILLS kinda laundromat, and all the good magazines were GONE, so I took to reading the side of the bottle. HOPEFULLY I could succeed in passing some time, or maybe even learn a few things, if I were PERSISTENT enough and read all the bottles. My mind often wanders at that time of morning, and it wasn't long before MEMORIES of my Mother's Tide boxes creeped into my thoughts. I had to SMILE as I recalled standing in my chair to watch her work (and to sniff the open corner of the box of Tide!), as the muffled canned-LAUGHTER racket from the 60's TV shows wafted in from the other room.......my vision had blurred as I sat there and reminisced; looking up to the wall of my little laundromat, I quickly noticed the clock hadn't even moved one minute, but the HANDS OF TIME had moved through a lifetime.

I hold a piture in my hands from my grandmothers era, a time of no frills, but those days are long gone, hopefully one day a very persistant person with memories of her long gone grandmother will smile as she remembers the laughter in he grans eyes before the hands of time took her away
