I have just purchased a brand new hp pc with windows ultimate. I disagree with the commercials the security does not bother you all the time it keeps you protected with out bothering you. Everthing is prefect with ton's of features that are easy to use. Why is appel lieing. Windows has awsome glass like tool bars. Mac looks confusing and hard to use. One of the commercails said that macs sales or going off the roof, but I don't know anyone with a mac. Everyone has a pc. I'm not saying that pc is better, I'm just saying that mac is making pc look like **** when pc obviously has the upper hand.

i dont know if there is any real answers in here, but here's some random thoughts i have on the subject which i may or may not have made up:
-while its true that many vista users are dissatisfied, those mac commercials really exaggerate it.
-the real truth is mac os x 10.4 has been out for years and no one's complained about it, nor has any microsoft ads ever bashed it.
-i do think that xp is the best os microsoft may ever come out with (its the only windows os i can use w/o complaining) but having also used vista, i think microsoft may have taken a huge step backward. not to mention thier lack of originality or creativity. (the entitre interface copies the mac interface down to the same colors)
-and to the guy who said vista 80 million, leopard 2 million, may i just say leopard's been out for only a few weeks, and 10.4 is so good, not all seem to need/want it. vista has been out quite a few months, and i have a feeling some of those copies may have been returned or trashed in favor of xp. i would.

Mac versus Microsoft..you want to start a war or something?? (-: I have friends that are Mac Lovers and friends who a Microsoft only.. I know some who have switch from Windows to Apple and loved it and some who honestly hate it.. I think you should use what you like..
The other posts about linux are dead on.. look at a couple of the new live distro's like PCLinuxos 2007 you boot from a CD so you can try it without making any changes to your machine. Do a duel boot set up and you will find yourself using Windows less and less..

All the Dell/HP/Sony commercials are right.
For the segment of the market they appeal to. What you getting involved in is basically a religious argument with no clear resolution.
If Macs confuse you, how could you possibly use a PC, honestly?

VISTA- Vista Is Shittier Than Anything
VISTA-Virus Instability Spyware Trojans Adware
Mac OS X Leopard- Unix based. More worry free than Windows...and those who say "you can't play windows games or windows apps on a mac"
HA. Yes. You can.
Can't upgrade a mac? BS. I have a MacPro and you can update it easily! I can add RAM or a Hard Drive easier than on a PC...
RIP PC...Mac is the only computer you will ever need...
Oh for mac users, get the program Q for a native pc emulator (w/ out the worry of getting viruses)

windows vista = the new windows ME. Yes i am a mac fanboy, i drink the apple kool-aid lol.Yes i agree vista has some cool features, but nothing that was not in mac osx 10.4 tiger ,the previous mac OS. macs can run windows now so technically they are pc's. i know im going 2 be bashed becasue i think macs are superior but who cares. yes i have used vista. i have to fix my friends new laptop quite often.
shut up you linux hippies lol jk. No linux is another great alternative to windows. you dont need new hardware to run it either. Just go to ubuntu.com and download and burn the live disk, you do not have to install it. linux is easier to use then most people think.

I know several people with macs. I'm gonna get one, one day (sighs). Also, the security does bother you depending on the anti virus software that you have. all PCs need anti virus software. My anti virus software bugs me. It scans like every other Day, slowing down my computer.
It keeps on asking, do you want to allow this change? open this new file? show the content on this e-mail? and I'm Like YES!!!! I DO WANT TO OPEN IT!!!! NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! STUPID ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE!!!!! (throws computer out the window).
However, on a mac, you don't need to deal with this because Macs don't get viruses.
So, I would say, that although PC's sell more, Macs are the better computers.
It also helps that Apple makes their own hardware. While Microsoft makes software primarily.
I think that is why Apple computers are more stable and secure.
Just my 2 cents.

It is sad that Apple has to go to personal attacks, not a good tactic, insulting possible customers for their current choices.
New windows Vista has sold over 88 million.
New Apple Leopard has sold over 2 million.
The commercials certainly stretch the truth a whole lot.

there is no system like Windows 98 Second Edition, but it is too far out dated for today's world.
Macs are good,but i like Windows computers.
Macs are good for movie makers and music videos,
because of there Graphics creating and Audio features.
Windows computers are for just Internet, Games. etc.
as for Linux, never. i do not like it. too strange looking.
