Not every time but if I am staying as a guest over night I will bring a little thank you gift and if I have friends staying at my house I will make the guest room as homey as possible by turning down the bed, lighting candles and leaving a towel out as well as a card sometimes. I know, how Martha Stewart of me, lol

Sometimes, I like to have gifts for my guests also. When I know someone is coming I try to get a small gift like a pair of pajamas or maybe their favorite fragrance and wrap it up to leave on the pillow for them. I live in Nevada so wine is inexpensive here I like to take wine when I go visit, either that or some home cooked food!

If it is a dinner invite, I usually bring a bottle of wine or dessert.
Of course, if it is a birthday or anniversary I will bring a gift for that. If it is just a visit to watch football, play games, etc, I bring beer and/or munchies.

NO! if it is just your friend why would you bring presents? when you go to your friends house just bring yourself and have fun! you might bring a present if it is your girlfriend or boyfriend.Or if this friend lives out of the state you live in and you go visit them but other than that just bring yourself! :)

If it's a friend I don't see very often then yeah I would bring a small gift. But if it's a good friend that I see all the time...maybe just a bottle of wine lol

Not unless its a Birthday or a Christmas party or something.... If its just a random party I may bring something like a dish or some alcohol to share, but i usually don't unless other people are.....
Why, should I be? Is there some etiquette im not awear of?

If it's for a Christmas dinner or something and they are good friends, then yes, but if it's just a regular day I just bring a dessert or something for the meal.

or if they are having like a BBQ i'll bring stuff.
i wouldn't really call those presents but its the best i can do! haha.
