Hi, I am planning on buying a computer monitor soon. The one I am going to buy has DVI and HDCP plugs. Am I able to play my ps3 on it, if so how? Also, there is another computer screen that I might buy that has a HDMI port. What is the difference between HDMI and HDCP, some people say that you can play your ps3 on either ports but I have no idea. please respond soon.
Thank you!

hdcp is just hd content protection. it is not a port on the monitor itself. the PS3 has a hdmi port on it so get the monitor with a hdmi port so you will only have 1 cable going to the monitor. You can use the dvi port and use a dvi-hdmi converter, but you need to run a separate sound cable. if u have any more questions msg me

HDMI is the cble & port specification. HDCP is the High Definition Content Protection format. It will be used in the future to protect Bluray & HD-DVD content

There are tricks to make this accessible. The HDFury case in point, it recieves the digital subsequently HDCP secure circulate and strips the HDCP. It? output is VGA.. the subject those infants are high priced. rather rather high priced :( extra high priced then a sparkling video reveal gadgets with HDCP certainly! HDFury is usefull in case you desire to hook up a typical HDMI loving gadget to older stuff like particular a reveal screen, a beamer or maybe catch hardware. even however that's priced to that. rather finding a $one hundred fifty reveal screen with HDCP fixes it lots extra elementary.
