i am indeed know where near a emo but why do people always judge them and think that there bad people and they dont know them personally??
why is that someone help me out

hmm i wouldnt say they see them as bad people(like theyve commited crimes) but you really need to look at the stereotypes. like how "all are gay/fags". yes there are some that might be gay, or bi, but alot of people today still hate gay's which really does not help with liking it. than the cutting stereotype, not many people are willing to ******* research cutting before they talk about it. the attention ones, whining ones, idk where they even came from. all the people ive talked to that calls themselves "emo" are the quiet kids. plus, its surpassed as hardcore, and "metalheads" or "punks", the ones i know of that (generally of course)have a hatred or dislike for them the most,they wouldnt want guys who wear tight pants and eyeliner under that category...which is why they use the term fag alot.

It's kinda sad actually. I don't know why they judge them, they're really nice people once you get to know them. Just because they're "emo" doesn't mean that they're bad people. If anything, they're more caring and considerate than most people I know that aren't emo. I don't think that anyone should judge anyone just because of the way they look or dress. Especially when (most of the time) they don't even know that person. It's so stupid..
Even with the way that other's treat emos. It's just disgusting to see the way people act towards them....
But you will always have those heartless people who have nothing nice to say about anyone.

People judge everyone. They just judge certain people as emos that's all. And there's no apostrophe in 'emos.'

I cant speak for everyone, and I dont judge them, per se, I just think people find it annoying that there are real depressed people out there, with real issues, and teenagers decided to turn it into a fashion. Its kind of pathetic when being depressed is in style, and all these pseudo-depressed teenagers dress in black and go around crying about how sad they are, for attention. Most honestly depressed people dont go around bragging about the fact that they're depressed.

i don't think ppl think of them as bad ppl they just stereotype them as being whiny and attention seeking and you must be be able to see where that comes from right? all the music that is classified as 'emo' is very depressing kinda stuff
But every type of group has unfavorable stereotypes
