Who says that we haven't had a Gay President already. No one knows of the sexual habits of the early Presidents. We now know that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson raped slaves and fathered illigetimate children. But that information is not allowed to be printed in any U.S. History Book. So it stands to reason that at least one of the early Presidents was a closet homosexual.
If you mean will we ever have an openly Gay President, the answer is no.

Yes they could, if they kept the sexual proclivities out of the race. I will vote for who i think will do the better job. But if a candidate is running based on them being gay/black/hispanic/female/asian/glue snorter they lose my vote. It is bad enough that all the front runners are bought and paid for by lobbiests, but to be president that carries the banner of any agenda beyond the needs of the nation is just scary to me.

It won't happen for a long time...people are not willing to accept this yet. The Evangelical extreme religious group will not allow anyone but someone stupid like George Bush to run this country and in 8 years you can see how he ran us into the ground! The dollar is an its lowest, we're at war for no reason, our vets are suffering, our children are getting sick from Walmart toys from China...Our country is dying off...and in 50 years we'd be lucky to have a great president to put us back on the map.

We have already had at least one. Buchanon was openly gay and everyone knew it. He even lived with another man. In an unrelated note, he is also considered one of the very worst Presidents ever.

I suspect a lot of people would not vote for an openly gay person, but a gay person in a marriage of convenience might be another matter.
