When my Father was alive I called him "Daddy". I call my Mother "Mama". My step-father I call by his first name.
My husband calls his Father "Dad" and his Mother "Mom".
We both call our parents-in-law by their first names.
It's all a matter of what you and they prefer, and is wrong only if YOU or THEY don't like it.

I usually call them mom and dad. However, if we are in a shopping mall or at the grocery store and I yell out "MOM" every mother in there will answer. It is usually then that I will call out my mom's name--the only other time is when they are not listening.
Otherwise, was taught that it is disrespectful to call parents by first name. It's a personal thing though. My hippie aunt and uncle elected to have all their kids call them by their first name.
It also depends where you live in the world.

I've never called my parents by their first names. That's kinda weird. It makes it sound like you don't care about them I think.

I called them Mom and Dad. When I had children, I also sometimes would call them Grandpa and Grandma when in front of my kids.
