My family and I might go see a movie today and I just saw the trailer of August Rush. Its so sweet!! I cried in the trailer, so it MUST be good!! Which is better? And I wanted to see Enchanted.

Two artist friends and I saw the movie last night. We agreed it is one of the most beautiful films from story line to musical score and visuals that we have ever seen. The acting is incredible. I cannot understand why it is not experiencing critical as well as popular success. Please go and help this film triumph. That's the only way Hollywood will be encouraged to produce more films of this caliber.

Enchanted is an awesome movie. It's really funny and the cast is perfect. All in all, it's a real spirit lifter. August Rush is overall a better movie, but it's not a happy-go-lucky-feel-good-flick. The ending is happy, but I cried for a long time because it's so beautiful. Also, it was such an experience to see it in the theater, because of the amazing cinematography and even better music. Enchanted is more rent-able.
My advice: August Rush. It's only surpassed in it's beauty by Finding Neverland, without the depressingness.

Both look awsome. Enchanted will be in theaters longer and August Rush could get kicked out at any time. I'm seeing August Rush tomorrow with my family and since Enchanted is such a big blockbuster and its gonna be in theaters for a REALLY long time I'll just see that in a week or two. I suggest you do the same.

I would go see August Rush first. Wait for Enchanted to be not so "new", that way the theater is not packed, and you can actually enjoy your movie experience. I want to see both, too...but my first pick is definitely August Rush! Have fun!

Too late to help with this one but I was a little disappointed with Enchanted; I thought it was pretty slow at times; I LOVED August Rush tho and plan to see it again this weekend.
Enchanted was cute but just sort of "eh" in my opinion ... I think AR's popularity will increase quite a bit as the weeks go by; it's definitely a "sleeper" type hit and as soon as word of mouth gets going, it will start bringing in more numbers.

Enchanted. It's the most fun I've had in a movie theatre all year. I seriously felt like I was a boy in Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (That's a joke, I haven't actually seen the movie.)
Amy Adams really makes even reality seem like a cartoon. Also, if you like Kingdom Hearts where they go through most of the Disney Movies, Enchanted is kind of like that. It follows quite a few different Disney Movies.
It's by far the best Disney Movie of the year.

Enchanted
It was absolutely brilliant. It starts off like many Disney Princess films (Snow White, Sleeping Beauty...) but then the princess gets pushed down a wishing well by the evil queen and comes out at Times Square... the juxtaposition of modern New York City and her initial naivity alone creates humor but so much more happens...I don't want to give too much away but there is ironic comedy in the Shrek fashion with unsightly creatures helping clean an apartment and an unforgetable music/dance scene...in the same class as Mary Poppins (alright maybe not quite as many memorable tunes.)

I saw Enchanted Last Night and it was really good, i am going to see august rush next, but i would say Enchanted

I want to see both. August Rush might be better if you are going with older adult family members. If you are the parent and are going with kids, go with Enchanted.
