17. Big oops, wish I'd been older. Love her to death, though. And her brother, had him just before I turned 20.
Given a choice, I would have rather waited until I was more mature and had a financial plan in place for how I was going to take care of them! Those years were rough, and now here I am. Not enough education to get a really good job, no retirement, no savings, don't even have the car paid off. I do have a mortgage, though! I'm getting really worried about how life is going to be when I'm too old to work.
I wouldn't trade my kids for anything, but they came along way too soon. If you have a choice, go to college first, get a career going on, then think about having a family. It really makes the most sense!
