Not all questions are meaningful just because there are grammatically correct. If we all lived on mars and everything was upside down, what would you do for a living?

It makes no sense. Energy is measured in joules or kg*m²/s². So since c is 3*10^8 m/s, using the formula e = mc² the energy would be in kg m²/s². Using e = mc^1.9 the units would be kg m^1.9/s^1.9 which is not a joule nor a unit of energy.

That question, asked more eloquently, is one of the major unsolved problems in physics. There is a handful of 'constants of nature' whose values determine the properties of our physical universe. Change some of them more than a few percent, and the universe as we know it would be impossible. Change the strength of the strong nuclear force by half a percent or more, and carbon-based life would be impossible (see reference).

That's just changing the tuning parameters. Changing the gravitational or electric fields from inverse square is a structural change. Perhaps it's even a change to the nature of spacetime, since those two in particular are geometric.

Cosmologists love to think about things like this. But they do more than that. They do extensive calculations to discover the implications of any hypothetical situation.

Units aside, the point is that this equation is what one uses to compute the amount of energy transformed by nuclear reaction for example. Would stars shine less, die faster? Would the Universe be as old as we estimate it to be etc etc

assuming there is a creator,

he would not make changes to laws that he made perfect to begin with.
Religious people believe that god knows what will occur, because all events occur through his actions, so he would have no need to correct things after they had happened.

Religion should be confined to another part of yahoo answers, and not in physics.
That equation is attributed to Albert Einstein, one of the greatest minds of our time.

A better answer is below, when considering that the number of dimensions must be equal on two sides of an equation.

Dimensions of energy must equal those on the right hand side
Kg . m/s2 is units of mass multiplied by square speed.

Well, that is an interesting question.....

However, I agree with Mathguy, it would screw up the units.....

You probably ought to ask the question, "What would happen if God lowered the VALUE OF c by a small amount? "
