It's a great quote and a great outlook on life, and the meaning is very clear.

What it means it self evident, you have managed to express yourself well, it's self explanatory and concise. I totally agree with your take on life. Everyone has bad times. No ones life is great all the time. Even when it may appear that way. Usually if you look deeper you will see that most people are like ducks; they may look calm (on the outside) but underneath they are paddling (struggling) like mad, "working" very hard, putting in a lot of effort, just to remain afloat and to stay above water, preventing themselves from sinking!
Though everyone has tough, rough, hard, depressing times, (it CAN'T be just me!) there are also some periods when its the total opposite. We all live and strive for the opposite; the good times, the fun, love, laughter, and easier life.
No one does know what comes next. Later. Today, tomorrow, next week, or when your life on earth end.
I think life is a journey, where you end up doesn't really matter, your destination is influenced by YOU. Where you go depends on what you do. Where your destination is, and when you get there doesn't matter.... what matters is enjoying the journey, the process of getting there.
The biggest mistake in life is to do nothing, the worst decision anyone can make is to make no decision. Inertia. If you put nothing in, you GET nothing back!

I used to like keep guessing scene of scene - what will happen next, until one day when I got personally involved, and found myself thinking – what is going to happen now? Life is a an unfolding mystery, it is an emergent issue that never reveals its secret in form of knowledge, or a clue, that we might wish to have beforehand. Life always comes to us in form of our own being – first life becomes us and only then we know what it was that was going to happen. I am now what I am now, but I am not what I am going to be next, however whatever I will be it will still be me – or lets just hope that this will be the case.
To maintain hope is a genuine virtue, whereas mere search for excitement can wear you down fast!

That's brilliant - I like it, a lot. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
With a balanced outlook like that you stand a good chance of getting through life looking on the sunny side instead of the depressing, of which we all have brief moments - but sunny side is better.
