is it hard to change a starter in a 1990 ford taurus?

my car has power but wont turn over. just clicks. is that the starter? is it hard to change one?

If the battery is more than 5 years old, then replace it.

1. Clean the battery terminals
2. Place the battery on a charger
3. Load test the battery [should be around 11V with a 100 amp draw]

If the battery checks OK then replace the starter.
a) Apply the parking brake
b) Raise the vehicle & place on jack stands
c) Remove the negative battery cable [on the battery]
d) Remove the starter, it's easy to get at.
