Cats are by far the best pet to have. Cats will ignore you until it is time to eat, their litter box needs cleaning, or they decide they want to play while you are trying to get dressed for work or want to watch TV. Dogs are very messy, if you put them into your back yard you just turned your back yard into a mine field. Dogs are indiscriminate they will poop anywhere that they feel is a good 'spot'. Cats will jump on your lap and go to sleep. Dogs are all go go go and most of the time if you don't take them outside they will go on the carpet or you hardwood floor. Dogs will try to dig through your doors just to find out that once the door is opened for them they really did not want to go through.

I just loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee dogs!!!I like cats too but dogs are better cause they r never scared and dont run away like cats..........U cant even teach cats any tricks but dogs can learn tons of them!! And dogs dont poop anywhere...but cats just do it on the place they like..lol.

depends on ones lifestyle, if you have little time a cat is good, if you like to do active things then a dog is good. I have both.
Personally if I had to choose I'd choose dogs.
