There's too much oil (and money) to fight over. With so many greedy, egotistical men running the world and all of them with very different beliefs and chasing the same thing, no one will ever be on the same page. If everything wasn't so complicated, thus enabling people to take a more simplistic approach in society, then it could be better and maybe peace could be attainable, but not now, not the way things have gotten out of hand. And with the way the economy is, it's only going to get worse.

Peace on earth would mean the end of democracy, we are

not a species of appreciation but of constant cravings. Our

need for challenges are our worst enemy. We'll never know

the true reward that come's from just letting things be so as

to learn the real nature and beauty in everything that is . . .

To have true and total permanant peace on this planet in

any one's life, would not be like going to the bathroom and

coming out without stinking up the place, after all one could

easily disguise the odor with numerious brands of any air

fresheners, no, but more like going in right after the other

person who just used it, be it male or female young or old,

any race and nationality any gender belief, or what ever

else we have in this maddness we call life, and simply,

not complain about the smell . . .

A most prominant actress of long ago once put it the best

way i ever heard and i quote . . .

" We need dark smokey subterainian shaddowy place to

say i love you, and yet we're perfectly contented to blow

each others f***ing brains out in broad daylight . . .

There is no such thing as "peace on earth". As long as human race spending money on defence equipment. There is no peace. Being an individual, try to be contented with just peace of mind is enough. To achieve this - just live happily, be thankful with what we have, love and respect one another.

Yes. Here's why:
Human are replacing trees with buildings, mountains with malls and rivers with roads. They're polluting the water, pumping pesticide (read poison) into food and genetically altering one another with little knowledge of the harm they're doing. Eventually the world is going to be such a rotten place that its going to be impossible to live on it. So humans will die out. Then there will be peace on earth.

As long as people have different beliefs and personalities, there will always be conflict. In order to be at peace with the world, you have to be at peace with yourself.
