They're not empty. Rudd is very intellectual but he's just had to dumb it down for anti-intellectual TV viewers with short attention spans... while the rest of us are aware and capable enough to read about what is behind the "slogans" and not have to rely on believing in slogans.
The election is over, the campaign slogans are over, they've started work today and now we wait and see :)

Better than the empty promises from the Liberal Party & Co and all the lies that they have told since 1996 and when the country voted against GST, Look who got it in ,

Perhaps the may be a new enquiry into AWB, IRAG, Children Overboard , Tampa

Liberal Party & Co are the empty and now leaderless ,completely just deserts, what comes around goes around when you least expect it.

Well apparently the majority of Australian voters don't think they are "empty". Labor has won the election! Kevin Rudd is the new PM! Like it or lump it - it is democracy.

No, but then I never believe anything any politican says... especially during campaigns. They will pretty much say anything they think a voter might want to hear, and have it spin doctored so there is an 'out' clause later.

I am from US, Howard was a big supporter of Bush's little Iraq invasion so I'm glad he's out of office but hope your new guy works out well for you all on other issues...
