It has nothing to do with the model. The car is old for one and so you can expect things like that to happen. There is not much to it as far as the fuel system. The gas tank could have crud that needs to be cleaned out, the in line fuel filter is most likely clogged, the fuel line itself might have a piece of dirt in it but not likely, the carburator filter might be clogged, the carburator itself might need a bench rebuild, the fuel pump might be shot. That's it.
Give the symptoms so we can narrow it down. Like is it running? Does it just stall out at a red light or lose power on the highway? What?
People want answers but don't provide any information and I'm only on my first cup of coffee.

I had an 89 years ago and the fuel pump went out on it...was gradually harder and harder to start and keep running. Fuel related problems could be a number of things so it's best to have it checked out.
