I try to approach life with a sense of gratefulness for the people in my life and the small blessings all around me. By doing this I'm not so apt to take my life for granted, or, to focus on the negative. . I let those I love and care for know how much they mean to me now, while I have the chance. I try to avoid the "if only" type of thinking in my life.
Showing compassion for others and treating people as I would like to be treated, to me, is a good rule in life.

I use this quote from Eleanor Roosevelt:
"Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people".....this helps me keep small mindedness at bay. Of course the biggest rule I follow is the Golden Rule: "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Best rule to live by...it's worked for me!
