Please realize you are not alone. You have a lot of company. I myself get depressed around the holidays because memories of my loved one come back to me. You wish you could bring back those years, but we have to move on and make the most of the family we have and hopefully everyone will work together to make it a happier season for all. I hope you feel better.

I use to get Holiday depression it seemed to really exaggerate a condition I had all the time.
I write a check to Salvation Army and never pass a bell ringer without putting in a dollar. I look for bargains at the stores for myself and I like to watch all the other shoppers.
That is me.To help you not being lonely you could volunteer or this may be the time to look for a church to your liking. Or maybe be take a class or join a club adopt a pet ,waling a dog is helpful exercise and also a way to meet people.
My favorite is my 360 page I would recommend it. Good Luck

I know for me I get down when the weather changes as I love outside things and I think the weather affects a lot of folks that way. You need to find something that can hold your interest in the colder months. I now go to our big mall and walk and meet new folks. Kinda fun. Then too folks tends to get down after xmas so get ready and have some friends to do some fun things with. Anyway you are normal so I wouldn't worry about being so sad --just get with some old friends or better yet go makes some new ones. Best of luck to you and remember God loves you and me too. Hugs

It could be Seasonal Affective Disorder, it's a mental disorder that causes people to feel depressed due to reduced light levels around winter.
My mum used to suffer for it, go to a psychiatrist to be properly diagnosed but you can by special lights that relive the symptoms, my mum used to sit in front of hers for an hour a day and it made so much difference.
Good luck

Sometimes it`s ok to just let the feelings take over. My telling you to buck up seems a bit ingenuous, since I can`t feel your pain. One thing I can do is offer my heartfelt sympathy, and hope you can overcome your problems. Remember, there are a bunch of us here pulling for you, GOD bless.

You know, I think you could be suffering from S.A.D. Lots of people get it in the winter when it is dark and dismal and there is no sun. You should get one of those white lights they are very good.
