Well to everyone who is against this pill and abortion i couldn't agree more with the several reasons why it is wrong.
But sometimes things are not always preventable and it is better for some to take the pill then to not. What does every mother want? They want their child to have a father and a good home and the life that they never got to have. If you know that it isnt right timing for you to have this and the chance of them living in a life that is full of tragedy then its not always a bad thing to not have one at the time.
Personally I was against taking this pill and if it didn't work I don't really care because I do want one just the person that was with is a total asshole and he got me in this position by smashing my head off of a car window I don't want my child to have a father like that in the slightest bit.... Would you? and he isn't even my bf.... i had to take the pill because if i didn't he was just going to beat the **** out of me

Take a pregnancy test and/or see a doctor.

You took it at the very outer edge of the time window in which it's effective. It's most effective within 24 hrs, less so from 24-48 hours, and even less so from 48-72. After 72 hours, there wsn't really any point in taking it.
The pill works by delaying ovulation. If ovulation occurred during the 72 hours before you took the pill, and there were sperm there to meet the egg, you could have gotten pregnant.
Enough time has passed for you to take a pregnancy test, I think.

Like anything, the morning after pill is not always 100% effective. It might be nothing or it might not have worked. I would suggest you get a HPT asap and check to see if you're pregnant. If you are I would visit an OB/GYN or Planned Parenthood and explain that you took the morning after pill and go from there. You can't do anything until you take the pregnancy test.
I should add that it sounds more like some sort of infection than pregnancy. So even if the pregnancy test is negative you should still see a doctor.
Good luck!

Yes. I took it around 40-50 hours after,as directed by doctor and my son is now celebrating his fourth birthday next month.
I'm sorry, but sometimes the morning after pill does fail.
Did you have a bleed after taking the pill? I've taken it a few times before and always had a bleed, but the last one which failed, I didn't bleed at all.
Edit: don't worry about people who say to stop having irresponsible sex. That's not always the case when women use the morning after pill. I know because I used it when there was contraception failure. A genuine accident, not an act of irresponsibility.

There's a small chance that you conceived before taking the pill and so what occurred was an early abortion.
Or, you might be still pregnant.
Either way, I would see a doctor asap. And stop having sex irresponsibly and trying to cover up your mistakes with "emergency" pills that quite often are abortive.

You can take a pregnancy test just to be sure, but i would suggest going to the doctor as it does not sound pregnancy related to me.

it could be that you took it slightly too late so it didnt work properly. the best thing to do is either take a test or see your doctor about it. they will tell you whats going on, and if you are still pregnant.
