My mother inspired this questio. She got mad at us kids for believing her when she said she didn't want to have Thanksgiving at her house this year! lol

Absolutely! And I take others for what they say. If they mean one thing and say another, I make it not my problem.

It's a little psychological game some people play. Playing by their rules is a good way to feel guilty, get angry, go crazy, or some other unpleasant thing. A fair number of moms are experts at laying it on. (Not all moms do it, nor are they the ONLY ones who do.)

As we've heard numerous times, we can't change somebody else, only how we respond.

All you have to do is get burned by this phenomenon a couple of times and you become a straight-shooter. I really do say what I mean and mean what I say - it's much easier that way. I also will not say something about someone behind their back that I wouldn't say to their face - keeps me out of loads of trouble.

Personally, I do. However I also think that if you don't have something nice to say then you shouldn't say it at all. Unless someone wants constructive critisism, that is. I'm 18 and female, if that counts for anything.

AW..nosebleed..but i'll try.my answer is yes..of course i say what i mean and i mean what i say(except when i lie).....and maybe ur mom was mad when she said that to to let u know she's really mad at u(let me know the whole story,cause i don't know why she's want 2 have TnxGivin at her house)...and i remember my mom one time say that to us but she did continue 2 celebrate it anyways .thats how moms love there children..^_^
