Krissy,Hi, as a female myself who has had years and years of female problems, all I can say is that it could be a lot of difffent things, but they all need to be diagnosed by a dr. The only way to eliminate the more serious things from the less serious, they all need to be addressed.
You said you are 18: how long have you been having periods, and have they allways been irregular or just recently. ?
You also mentioned the two cysts recently. I don't mean to be personal, but if you are sexualy active , the extra bleeding could be a sympton of a misscarraige, which could explain the long bleeding, the pain, headache, and lots more. When I had a misscarraige the first time, ( I knew I was pregnant, )
I started out spotting, then more bleeding, and this went on for about 10 days till it got like a period, and the misscarraige at this point was going to the hospital because I was losing the baby.
Also it is possible that your hormones are out of whack and this can cause prolonged bleeding, development of cysts in the ovaries, and lots of other problems. Also if you are taking any sort of pill or other birth control method, it is possilble that your having a reaction . Have you ever had a pap smear?
You need to be seen by a gynecologist, not just a regular dr. but someone who can address all your female problems and a repeat blood test for anemia may be needed. Also your dr. may want to do a transvaginal ultrasound to see what the female organs, ( uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes look like on ultrasound.) Ultrasound gives a lot more detail than a manual exam, and any abnormalitis will show up easier. There are different types of cysts, and some cysts are cysts that may need to be removed, but most will reabsorb themselves with the period each month.
ONly a dr. can diagnose you and tell you what is going on with your body, and what to do to make you feel better. The main thing is that you get seen, and with the combination of the symptons you have, you need to be seen as soon as possible , and not wait for things to get better, or for things to get worse than they already are.Oh, I forgot to mention, a lot of women who get Migraines get them around the time they get their periods. I know because I have been suffering from Migraines for years, till I had a hysterectomy.Good luck and please don't wait any longer to see a dr. You need to take care of yourself.

I would recommend seeing a gynecologist to have them evaluate this further because it's very possible that you have a hormone imbalance going on. The gynecologist will try to help you figure out if that is the case.
