The full moon is just one night per month, but the number of bright nights during the cycle is between five and seven (five if you just consider the ones that look like full moons).

Technically, the full moon only lasts one day/night as a perfect full moon, but realistically, the day before an the day after the official full moon, it is difficult to tell by eye that it is not totally full.
I have several friends who are nurses and they all tell me that it is true about how people in nursing homes, for example, who are normally well behaved, can act quite differently during the cycle of the full moon.

According to my job the moon has been full all month long. I have been too tired to even look up after I get off. Of course it is coming upon the "silly season" when ALL are the "crazies" looking for those furbies or Play Station IIIs or Nintendo Wiis or whatever the hot item is for this year. Ebay as become a good friend of mine as I cannot even FORCE myself to go to the mall from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Hope the weekend is not too bad.

the full moon by defination is one day and one alone. it is at the very peak of being its largest it is going to get. the day before it is a little smaller and the day after it is also a little smaller. However many traditions that have to do with harvests and harvest rituals say the is moon full for three full days. I don't know it looks full for a while, huh
