Once. That should be enough for anyone.

I'm along the same lines as Ride On. I've never "fallen off" per say. I have dropped a bike over on the side a few times, but hung on for dear life and not actually falling off onto the pavement.

I had always had a perfect driving record, until this set of events:

I decided to show my brother how to ride my bike. He was doing really well, but after about 30 minutes he forgot that you need to use brakes to stop (he's adopted). So I took it to a repair place to have the damage fixed. I got the bike back, and was driving it home. After about 1/2 a block an uninsured 17 year old pulled out in front of me. I t-boned him. I landed on his hood, and the bike was left vertical and running...the front wheel stuck in his fender. I backed the bike out, and eventually drove it home. It was trashed though. It would have cost twice the cost of a new bike to repair it. The insurance totaled it.

My brother is no longer allowed to drive any of my vehicles.

You can't say you've ridden if you haven't at least once or twice!

Over 20+ yrs, maybe half a dozen on a road & trail, my 1st bike, upwards of 4 times on my dirt bike, and 0 on the street bike, and never plan to on that one.

Falling is learning, learning never to do that again, unless you're playing hard off the street.

I've had 4 street bikes, and 1 scooter, and I've dropped each of the bikes 1 time, on my newest bike the day after I got it. (Guess that makes 4.) Always glad when it happens, because in my mind, I've gotten it over with, and now I can stop worry about it. Never had a big crash though.

It's funny when you think about it... It was 5:00 am and I was tired - getting ready to leave for work. I was turning my bike around in the driveway when it started to GO to the right. I COULD NOT stop the bike from falling to the ground so I assisted it! I stood in disbelief! I couldn't lift the bike by myself! I was afraid that it would fall the other direction so I called my wife to help. I place a furniture blanket under so it wouldn't get scratched when we lifted it. I was lucky! NO DAMAGE to the bike...

So to answer your question... 1 time!

I'm just coming up on having ridden for a year, and I've only fallen off once, which was the first time I'd ever been on a bike.

I'm taking up racing next year though, so my tally might get quite a bit higher.

I do freestyle motocross, so crashing is always going to happen. Now fallen off my street bike thats weird story within it's self.....One time i forgot to put my kickstand down and i put my feet back on the pegs(i was at on those sonic drive in) and the bike leaned over and i'm thinking it's going to rest on the kickstand, Instead i got slammed against the menu sign and pinned by my bike.....It sucked, I'm so retarded.

Three times on the street - one minor, one broken hand, one pinball experience with 3 SUVs. Dropped the bike in slick parking lots, driveways and such several times. It just comes with the experience.
