Bairns going missing, Eastern Europeans showing UK folk how job-searching is done (for, as we know...some have indeed forgotten), and slightly 'foreign' people being rounded up and charged - with one (as we know) being shot dead.
Our penchant for swiftly airing comments and verdicts in this 'free world' are admirable.
But wait...would we be as harsh to others on here if we were part of the media stories spread on populist front pages?

Little do we know, the news has ALWAYS been this way, its a reflection of mans need to belong. These news stories inspire us to a sort of belonging, based on morals. So what if I think wrong of you, if we can both agree that Britney spears needs help. Who cares if I think your an idiot, if we both can bash George bush? Who cares if you think my kids spoiled and I think your abusive, if we can both blame the school system for columbine? It gives us some, althou temporary, to feel like we see eye-2-eye on. I've seen plenty of enemies find common ground by OTHER perceive mutual enemies. Sort of the enemy of my enemy is my friend, bs, perversed so that they BOTH feel as friends, if only against that ONE perceived ideal. So lets get off our high horse's I'm 26 years old and for as long as I can remember everyone's been bashing the news media, its our fault, not theirs, are we ignorant to believe that the news exsist as a financial institution based on higher morals then tv rates, are we that stupid? No offense, I realize this back when I was 14, I also realize no one else before me had the tenacity or drive to change it, I've even heard the news make fun of the news for the sake to feel air. So I'm so glad we can see this, but for the love of everything that matters or brings meaning to this world can anyone find a way to change it?

I completely agree with you!!
Chuck in a bit of sex and scandal and we have a gripped nation...specualte and guess and soon everyone will be talking about it.
It's sickening really. The way people are ripped apart and we all get on our high horse, i think a lot of it is guilt and shame that we do exactly the same thing ourselves, but we just glad no-one has found us out yet.
