No, that wouldn't work, because it wouldn't be real happiness, it would be "Happy Button" happiness, and once the Happy Button happiness wore off you'd have to face how pathetic life really is, and the artificiality of the Happy Button happiness becomes shameful.

No, because that would render some things that are supposed to make you happy-like being with somebody you love, getting praise, accomplishing a goal-completely obsolete. What would be the point of life then? And nobody wants to be happy all the time...it's annoying to others around you.
