I'm thinking it might not actually be the question that are driving you insane, but rather the way you "rate" yourself that is an issue. Take three shots of tequila and call me in the morning. Good luck

If people would stop answering them then they will go away on their own. We don't need to do anything else. There are enough rules and regulations to follow.

Just ignore them. No matter what, if people don't ask stupid "rate me" questions, they will ask other dumb questions in other yahoo answer categories.

you can't. it's human nature to be curious, to know what others think as a way of feeling normal... as in "well, others think he's cute/ugly/poor/rich, so i don't feel so bad". :)
