I wish people would understand that the President - any president - has almost no impact whatsoever on the economy. Congress passes the laws which affect the economy, and beyond the veto power, the President has nothing to do with it. He can have an impact on the military, obviously, but as far as affecting the American way of Life - you and I have as much control over that as the President does.

I am not so sure Rich if the president has no influence on the US economy or even the world economy for that matter, after all if the US economy goes down the tubes then the world will quickly follow, I agree that the president has no direct control on the economy BUT his actions do the fact that he is waging an unpopular war that is draining the coffers of the country has to have an effect on the American way of life. I am not sure I agree with Carobaro and the assumption that he his going to crash the communications networks as this would be economical suicide but I will be watching with great interest. But I know from my travels to the US that there is paranoia among the Homeland Security officials I meet at the border controls but this could also be put down to over zealous jobsworths who are on a power trip.

I will agree with the "crushing economy" part but, the rest is conjecture.
He's surrounded our senior citizens with so many laws and by laws in the health field it takes an Boston attorney to figure it out. I can't get a 'script filled without a lot of hassle from them.
Our seniors, who saved our butts many times are the ones that are paying for the "reaping of Bennie's now" thank you G. Bush.
His insane compulsion about Iraq and the middle East is killing this nation.
When I heard on DYI American housing that it takes a 350,000.00 home and 60 K a year to live without problems or your trash, I wondered what the hell is going on. I remember when middle income was starting at fifteen thousand or, am I getting that old?

Where do you live? I have a real good paying job. Great health benefits and six weeks vacation a year. I own my house in Newport Beach Calif. It seems the only people complaining are the ones who want everything for free. Well it doesn't work that way. Get out from in front of that computer and get a job. The want ads are the biggest part of a newspaper. There's no reason for people not to have a job.

How arrogant.
Do you just assume that everyone here is American?
Well, we're not. I couldn't care less about what Bush does to your American way of life. Maybe you should have thought of that before you elected him. He didn't just show up at the White House, the American people put him there. Don't come whining to the rest of the world because you regret your choice.

I think you explained it very well so I will not give a long speech--One need not look far to see the damage done during his watch, if it isn't his way, it's the highway.
