she thinks she may not have children( like her sister). Yes, she lactates without being pregnant. Do you think that may be a sign that she can't have children? My opinion is that although is a hormonal problem it's not about having children. I didn't find on wikipedia an answer but is called "induced lactation".
Thanks

Yes your girlfriend does need to make an appointment to see her doctor.

But no this is not unusual. This does happen to young women (not all women) from time to time.

Tell her to just be check out and have her doctor explain it to her.

Yes it is a hormone problem She needs to go to her OB/GYN and let them know. They should test her hormone levels to see where they are at. I am assuming her estrogen levels are high.

Is she on birth control or any other hormone drugs? It may be a side effect.

No, it isn't a sign she won't be able to have kids. I actually had this same problem. I had high levels of estrogen which caused it. I was on birth control pills, apparently I have high estrogen anyways. :) That was the cause.

Tell her not to worry. It is an imbalance but she needs to be checked out. I had a child about a year after this happened to me. Now, I don't take any birth control pills and have no problems.

Good Luck. But please make an appointment.

Are you sure it's milk that 's coming out? Any discharge from a woman's nipples is NOT normal. Get her to a gynecologist if possible on Monday. A regular doctor will do just fine also.

Monday....no procrastinating on this one. I'm gonna give you a star for being such a good, caring boyfriend. :)

Your girlfriend MUST see her doctor. It may also be time for her to have not only some blood work done but a mammogram/ultrasound.
She needs to take this seriously, afraid or not. Offer to go with her for support.
