Most probably will go through it.
Before purchasing we are gathering detailed information.
Hardware manuals are essential for general awareness and for servicing and for re paring.

Depending on the price of the hardware.
If its expensive I will play around with it for 5 minutes and then read some parts of the manual.
If its cheap I would skip the manual and just use it. If I get stuck on something, I would go back to the manual and search for what I'm stuck on :)

The only time I read the manual is for the motherboard ... if I can't find the correct jumpers etc

Apart from that ... everything else is just in my head.
