Are the suns playing better defence this season???

Some analyst said they are playing really good defense is this true??? Have they finaaly learned thier lesson?

I wouldn't say they were a bad defensive team, mainly because their offensive game totally overshadows their defensive game. But then, i wouldn't say they were a good defensive team either, they don't play a shut-down style of defence like Spurs or Pistons. They would allow the other team to get easy points to keep the tempo going.
In terms of improvement . . . i could definitely see some improvement, although we lost KT to Seattle in the off-season, the addition of Brian Skinner was actually a very good move for the Suns. He doesn't bring the hardnose post defense that KT brought, but he is a much better athlete and so i think he'll pull down more rebounds and get more blocks than KT. Also Barbosa has really improved his perimeter defence, he's averaging like 2 steals a game.
Overall i think they have improved defensively, but is it enough to stop the Spurs? That's questionable still.

Yes they are playin better defense this year they are in the top 10 in jus about every defensive category. To me there a underrated defensive team. Where did u hear this about the analyst sayin there playin better defense? I love the Phoenix Suns there are my team for life.

i don't necessarily think they have been playing BAD defense the last few years. they have been giving up a lot of points, but that's just because they score so fast on offense that the opposing team gets more chances to score because they get the ball a lot more. also when teams play the suns, they play the game at their speed. suns are going to give up a ton of points as long as they're scoring like they do right now, but again i don't think that means that their defense is bad.

as long as you're giving up less points than your team scores, you're playing good defense.

if they say that the Suns are playing good defense, then it must be true. of course, analysts have been known to be wrong... about alot of things. one of the more recent is that the Mavs winning a championship last season. we all know what happened.

anyway, analysts at NBA.com are predicting either the suns or the spurs to win it all. lets see what happens.
