I want to use the CPU with an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard. I am looking for CPU in the 5000+ to 6000+ range.

Windsor core is made on 90nm chips, Brisbane on the 65nm chips. Consider the new X2 5000+ Black Edition. It can easily be overclocked to perform like the X2 6000+ but at lower wattage. That means fast but cool running.

this is how amd classify its chips. they are chips with a different construction but functions are almost similar.
