i hurt myself august `17 im almost all the way healed but it wont heal all da way

I have been in the same position- I have been out of work myself since May with a herniated lumbar disc. I know that through therapy and time you can recover, but as the doctors said- it will never be right and can fail you agin very easily at any time. I opted to have a lumbar lamanectomy surgery. They cut me open and fixed the damged disc. I was out of the hospital the same day and although it has taken a few months of rest to fully heal- I will be good as new and not have to worry about injuring it again.
