1 Gigawatt is 1 billion watts. Not million. Million watts would be 1 Megawatt.

A whatt is the measure of electricty, volts * amps = watts. Gig = Billion so its 1.21 billion watts.

gig or giga is a prefix meaning 1000000.

1 Gigawatt = 1000000 watts.
1.21 gigawatts = 1210000 watts.
