By having joint custody, are the child support payments lower or doesn it not change anything?

Joint custody is advantageous for the development of the child because both parents will be able to give the proper care and support.

joint custody means both parents have a say in what ever decisions come up involving the child. Visitation is usually very liberal. There still has to be a parent with physical custody, and there will still be a child support order set. The pro is tat both parents get to be equally involved. The con is if the parents dont get along, its going to be one fight after another with the child in the middle. I know, I had joint custody with my ex. my son stayed with me my daughter stayed with her and we shared joint custody of both kids.
