hmm you can try this one thing that my mom tought me and it worked for me, so hopefully it will work for you too. ok, so get into bed and close your eyes. start at your toes wiggle them and in your head say 'toes'. then go to your ankels, wiggle them and say 'ankles' and keep working your way up your body. and do your fingers and all that too. if your still not tired try reading a book, they always make me tired. or listen to some music, i usually fall asleep with my ipod on. i hope you fall to sleep and happy birthday =)

Just like counting sheep, try to remember everything about each person who will be at your party tomorrow. But lay down and turn out the lights and close your eyes. Let your brain relax by thinking about the exciting event you are trying not to think about. And smile a lot. Happy birthday!

My mom always told me to switch ends of my bed. Take a pillow and sleep at the other end of your bed. It always helps me. Try reading something right before you go to sleep too. Reading at night makes my eyes tired so I cant keep them open and I fall asleep. Hope that helps! I hate it when I cant sleep the day before my birthday.

For 45 minutes, think about lying on the beach on a lazy afternoon and all the tiny feelings as the sun tickled your feet and the breeze touched your face. Sink into the bed like it is sand and let the thoughts carry you away. Go ahead...

Lay there and think to yourself I'm not going to fall asleep, I'm not going to fall asleep over and over again until you do. If that doesn't work then close your eyes and clear mind and just lay there not thinking of anything.

Drinking hot chocolate? All that sugar and caffeine will keep you awake for hours! Lol. Just read a book, lie down, close your eyes, drink some warm milk....or just take a Nyquil to knock you out, lol.
