Yes, so long as you have plenty of air re-fills.
What *I'D* do is be the coach, and appropriate intervals call time-outs and bring in 'substitutions' from the audience.
That would validate the air horn itself and minimize complaints about its use, once the rules were understood.

It's ok as long as it wont make high pitched "OINK! OINK!" sounds. Not too regal for a gothic queen like you.
