Disagree... Come on, whatever country is dubbed a "terrorist state" needs educated people in their country who can lift themselves up and perhaps change things when they return to their homes. They can learn from us, and we can learn from them. Study abroad has increasingly become important for the spread of ideas.

I disagree, and here's why. Some months ago I was listening to a call in program about this very subject, and an exchange student from Pakistan called in. He stated that he grew up being taught that American's were evil, injust, hateful, and so on so forth. He went on to tell how he spent the first semester sequestered in his dorm room, but then began to reach out to the other students. Now, years later, he's rabidly Pro-America; really, you should have heard the fellow gush about how great he thought the society is and how he's trying to tell people he lives around how wrong their perceptions are of the U.S.

Hmmm, so the students from a state that USA does not like are denied the opportunity to get an education where they may experience 'democracy' and another point of view? Sounds like a plan !!! Not to mention that students may actually oppose the government back home, and if educated elsewhere may undermine the regime at home. Hmmm, sounds like an ignorant plan.

That would mean we wouldn't give out student Visas period, but if it was realistic, I couldn't argue, but it just isn't realistic.

Educated people are less likely to be recruited by terrorist to perform acts of terrorism.

Huckabee, is just another reactionary, who acts, then thinks. We don't need another one of those in office.
