No, its not meant to sexual. haha.

Would you call the police? Wait for it to stop? Get up to see who's doing it?

Just asking because this happened to me a couple nights ago.

If someone had asked this question I probably would've said, get a bat, call 911, etc.
But to be honest, i laid in bed FROZEN stiff til it stopped and then ran into my living room, turned on my lights and sat upright on my couch for about 5 hours. I was too scared to move.

I just assumed by the time the cops got there they would've been gone. Plus my cell was charging in my kitchen (next to my front door) haha

thanks for all the answers....

Its happened to me so many times its not funny. I live right down the street from a bar, and everyone wants to walk to my house at 2 am.

Calling 911 is good, just realize that it takes an average 10 minutes for police to show up, and a lot can happen in that time. I also have friends who had a medical emergency, called 911, and nobody showed up at all, prompting the need for a second call.

In the spirit of being responsible for my own well being, when I had someone trying to get into my house at 3AM once the numbers I used were 00 and 12, as in 00 Buck in a 12 gauge. Then I used 911.

If I was in a house totally alone, with no one there or guarding it whatsoever, I would sneak over and try to peek out of a peephole or a window to see who was out there, and if it was a total stranger, I'd go over to the door and bang loudly and tell them I have a gun and that I'm presently ringing the cops. And even if they did run off, I'd still call the cops just to report the incident.

Where I live there's a guardhouse right up the road and no other entrance, but once this freakazoid managed to climb over the wall or something and he got up the steps and almost to the front doors before my mother spotted him and pounded on the doors, which made him book it back to wherever he had originated, but I told her she should have just very quietly alerted the guards so that they would have been able to just show up and catch him red-handed! I'd love to whip out the camcorder and get something like that on video. WANKER! As if he'd ever get away with that!

Actually that happened a few weeks ago here!
I wasn't scared I just was lieing in bed resting from being on my computer! I heard them say oh **** no ones home let's go prank another yo!
I then started thinking good I don't have the lights on! I heard a vehicle start up I got up looked out the window because of the moonlight I was able to see the colour of the van.. yellow with black trim! (the colours of school bus) but old looking!. I learned it's best to pretend your not home! If they had broken in and were really big then I'd hide in the closeout! Then if they looked in the closet I'd hit them with my mallet with enough force to knock them out but do no serious harm! If they didn't look then after they leave I'd call the police! But they didn't break in so I didn't have to call anyone!

I would get a knife because we don't own a baseball bat or a gun and tell my mom and then I bet you my mom since she is crazy she will look to see who it is through that thing and then she will get scared and call 911 and probably we will sneak in the backyard

I wouldn't hesitate to call the police. That's what they're there for. I wonder how many people have lost their lives because they were afraid of causing a police officer to do a little routine wellness check?
If you yell something like "Bob! Grab the gun!" that will cause any intruder to have second thoughts about entering.

Why I am outraged! Call the police! Rattling Door knobs is illegal in Afghanistan and you SHOULD NOT tolerate this.

Too be serious, call the cops and make sure this guy is stopped because I would be seriously scared if I was in your shoes.

call the police

and hey you need to be adding another lock to your
door
When I was young and single (17) I would hang
three of those little Christmas long silk cords with
a big bell on the door knob so IF someone opened
my door the bells would ring
be careful

Well I'd most likely barely wake-up,
then maybe throw a pillow at the door
and say go away, if I knew it was like
my siblings or something.

If it was a burglar, I'd grab my cell phone, and have 911 on speed-dial, just in case.
